Product details
The popular Monstera Deliciosa is also known as the Swiss cheese plant because of its special leaves. The plant has holes in its leaves. The larger the plant, the more holes there are in the leaves. The Monstera is currently one of the most popular houseplants and not without reason. It is a very robust houseplant that can be placed in many places in the house. The plant also has strong air-purifying properties and can grow quickly. The Swiss Cheese plant is a tropical climber that can climb extremely high. Its characteristic aerial roots absorb nutrients and moisture both from the tree trunk and from the air. It is usually dark in the jungle, which is why the hole plant thrives in a shady spot.
Care
The Monstera Deliciosa is a creeping climber and tolerates drought well, but prefers plenty of water. Make sure that the potting compost always remains slightly moist. Furthermore, as mentioned, the Monstera is not a difficult plant in terms of location, as the plant does not need much sunlight. Once the plant is happy, it can produce several new leaves per year. At very low temperatures of ten degrees or less, the growth rate decreases considerably.
