The plant originates from Brazil and owes its unique nickname to its leaves, which some say resemble a steak. Care
The Beefsteak plant prefers a spot with plenty of light, but without direct sunlight. The perfect location would be in front of a north-facing window, for example. It is important that the plant's soil is always slightly moist. However, make sure that a layer of water forms at the bottom of the pot, as this can lead to rotting of the roots. It is best to give the plant only small amounts of water at a time. In winter, the plant only needs a little water.
