Product details
With the Iserine Herbstii you are adding a very special plant to your plant collection. The Iresine Herbstii is also known as the 'Bloodleaf' or 'Beefsteak' plant. The plant is originally from Brazil and owes its unique nickname to its leaves, which some say resemble a steak. The plant may not be well known, but the Beefsteak is great fun to have in your home or to give as a gift. It fits well into many interior styles and can also be taken outside after the Ice Saints, making it even more versatile. The Iserine Herbstii 'Rich Gold Star' has gorgeous pale green and yellow leaves with beautiful patterns on a bright pink stem that will add colour to any room.
Care
The Beefsteak plant prefers a spot with plenty of light, but without direct sunlight. A suitable location would be in front of a north-facing window, for example. It is important that the plant's soil is always slightly moist. However, make sure that a layer of water forms at the bottom of the pot, as this can cause the roots to rot. It is best to only give the plant small amounts of water at a time. In winter, the plant only needs a little water.
