Product details
This blue, umbelliferous hydrangea has intense autumn colour. The shrub grows in width rather than height and remains compact. This shrub is suitable as a specimen plant, in a flower bed, but also as a container plant. Summer Glow flowers abundantly on 1-year-old wood. The flowers of the 'Summer Glow' extend far beyond the plant, making it a beautiful plant to look at. The hydrangea is very hardy and can survive a late night frost, but it is not evergreen, which means that the plant loses its leaves in winter. Cut off the faded flowers in spring. Depending on the pH value of the soil, the plant flowers with large blue or pink umbels.
Care
Hydrangeas do not like drought and need plenty of water, especially in summer. It is best to give the hydrangea a lot of water at once, rather than just a little every now and then. The plant can be planted from March to mid-October, both in the ground and in a decorative pot, although it grows best outdoors. Keep a distance of 75 cm between plants when planting. Pruning the plant is best done in March, about 30 cm above the ground. The more you cut back the hydrangea, the larger the flowers will be.
