Product details
The Fargesia 'Blue Dragon' is a very exclusive and beautiful species of bamboo with its distinctive blue-gray stems. The Blue Dragon possesses all the good qualities of a Fargesia: it is evergreen, hardy down to -20 degrees Celsius, and does not spread uncontrollably. The Fargesia 'Blue Dragon' grows tall and features lovely green leaves. The stems of the Blue Dragon can reach a thickness of 3 to 4 cm, and the plant itself can grow to a height of 3 to 4 meters. It is a stunning addition to any garden or can serve as an evergreen hedge. The Fargesia 'Blue Dragon' also makes a magnificent solitary plant in the ground or in a beautiful decorative pot. It is a true enhancement for any garden, terrace, or balcony.
Care: The Fargesia 'Blue Dragon' is evergreen, hardy, and non-invasive. The plant prefers a location in shade or partial shade and requires moderate to ample water. During summer and on hot days, this plant needs quite a bit of water. When planted outdoors, a spacing of 40-60 cm is recommended. After 2-3 years, the stems of the Blue Dragon begin to turn blue-gray. At the time of delivery, the plants are nearly 2 years old.
Size: The plants are delivered at a height of 30-40 cm, measured including the growing pot. They come in a growing pot with a diameter of 13 cm.
