The Curcuma Al Siam Splash is a symbol of Asian nature and culture. It is often seen in countries like Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and India. The plant is also known as the Thai tulip due to its beautiful pink flowers. Additionally, the herb from several Curcuma species has been an important part of Indian medicine for centuries. Today, the herb is still frequently used in many dishes. Unfortunately, this Curcuma plant will not produce the herb, but it is still very appealing for indoor spaces! This Curcuma can bloom from June to September. In fact, the flowers are not true flowers but colored leaves meant to attract insects.

Care: The sunlight in the rainforests of Southeast Asia is much brighter, so the Curcuma in the Netherlands prefers a spot with plenty of sunlight. A windowsill, for example, is an ideal place for the Curcuma. Keep an eye on the plant during the summer months, as the leaves can burn. In this case, temporarily move the plant to a shadier location. Above 15 °C, the plant can even be placed outside! The Curcuma enjoys moist potting soil, so do not let it dry out. Ultimately, the Curcuma can grow up to 150–200 cm tall! Furthermore, the Curcuma Al Siam Splash is non-toxic, making it ideal if you have pets.
