Product details

The Crossandra Fortuna belongs to the Acanthaceae family. The Crossandra originates from India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Madagascar. The plant is often used for various traditions in India, for example the flowers are used for decorations. The flowers have no smell, but are very popular because they are very strong and have a bright colour. The Crossandra can flower from March to October with new orange flowers.

Care
The flowering of the Crossandra Fortuna starts in spring and ends in autumn. It is advisable to remove the dead flowers so that the plant remains a feast for the eyes. The plant prefers sunlight, but try to avoid placing the plant in full sun. The Crossandra needs regular watering, so make sure the soil does not dry out. In winter it needs a little less water. It is also advisable to fertilise the Crossandra several times a year. Finally, the Crossandra can grow up to about 100 centimetres tall. Be careful with pets, as the Crossandra is poisonous.
