Product details

Crassula ovata 'Hobbit', also known as the jade plant, is a unique cultivar of the popular succulent Crassula ovata. Its distinctive feature is the tubular, cylindrical leaves that curl and resemble the toes of a mythical hobbit. This succulent is native to South Africa and thrives well in dry, arid conditions, making it a low-maintenance houseplant. Like other varieties of Crassula ovata, it can develop clusters of small star-shaped white or pink flowers during its blooming period with proper care, enhancing its ornamental value. However, this is most likely to occur in warmer climates in Southern Europe. In cooler climates, the flowers almost never appear. Nevertheless, even without flowers, the plant is a beautiful addition to any space.

Care
Crassula ovata 'Hobbit' prefers a location with indirect sunlight and is best placed near a south or west-facing window. It is important to allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings to avoid root rot, as this succulent is very sensitive to overwatering. Crassula ovata 'Hobbit' can benefit from occasional pruning to maintain its compact shape and remove any dead or leggy growth.
