Product details

Convallaria majalis, also known as 'lily of the valley', is an ancient plant that is mainly found in temperate climates in wooded areas. The plant blooms in May-June with pretty, wonderfully fragrant bellflowers. Bees and butterflies like to visit these plants and create a lively garden. Lily of the valley is particularly suitable for gardens with several trees and shrubs, as it prefers a shady spot. You can use this plant to beautifully decorate bare spots in the garden. The bulbs can be planted in both spring (May-June) and autumn (September-November).

Care
Plant the lily of the valley in May-June or September-November in fertile, well-drained soil in shade to partial shade. Is the plant in a sunny spot? Then make sure that it does not dry out. Plant the tubers 2 cm deep in the soil. Point the tip upwards and water generously after planting, as the lily of the valley loves moisture. The flowers can be cut off after flowering. This allows the plant to produce new flowers and prolong the flowering period. When the season is over, you can let the plant die back. It is a perennial plant and will come back next year.
