They are often kept as houseplants but can also thrive outdoors, either planted directly in the ground or in a pot. However, be cautious, as the painted nettle is not frost-resistant. Indoors, this unique plant can survive for years, while outdoors it often lasts only a year, as it cannot tolerate temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius. There are 8 different varieties of Coleus, and in this set, you will receive three different types. The 8 varieties include Coleus Apocolypse, Coleus Black Dragon, Coleus Kong Red, Coleus Pumila, Coleus Renelt, Coleus Rustic, Coleus Shadow, and Coleus Trusty Rusty. The three varieties you receive will be randomly selected by the breeder for the best color combination.

Care
To keep the colors of the leaves as vibrant as possible, the painted nettle prefers a bright spot with plenty of indirect sunlight. If the plant receives direct sunlight, the leaves may burn. The ornamental nettle also prefers a draft-free location. Ensure that the soil of the ornamental nettle is always slightly moist. During the growing season, it requires more water than in winter. Regularly check the soil with your finger to make sure it is still damp. Is the plant starting to droop? Then it needs more water! Caring for the nettle outdoors is largely the same: no direct sunlight and keep the soil consistently moist. Be especially cautious in hot temperatures, as water evaporates more quickly, and the nettle will require more water.
