The Codiaeum Iceton is known for its changing appearance. The leaves start with a very bright yellow color and slowly transition to a deep, dark green with red accents. Typically, the lower leaves are darker than the upper ones, giving the plant a striking look. This beautiful, large plant originates from Malaysia, Australia, and Indonesia. In its natural habitat, this plant can grow up to three meters tall. Fortunately, its growth is limited in our climate, and the Codiaeum Iceton fits well in a living room.

Care
Place the Codiaeum in a sunny spot. The wonder shrub needs at least five hours of sunlight per day. Choose a location near a window facing north, east, or west. If the plant is near a south-facing window, it is advisable to place it two meters away from the window, as it may receive too much direct sunlight otherwise. However, if it receives too little light, the leaves may drop or lose their beautiful color. Fluctuating temperatures can also cause the plant to lose its leaves. This plant does not like drafty conditions. Water the plant adequately, preferably three to four times a week in summer and once every five days in winter. The soil should not dry out. Mist the wonder shrub preferably once a week with water to remove dust from the leaves and prevent pests. Be cautious, as this houseplant is mildly toxic to pets.
