Plant in a Box Acer Palmatum 'Taylor' - set of 2 maple trees
35 cmProduct details
Acer palmatum 'Taylor' is a rare Japanese maple available in limited quantities. This beautiful small Acer tree is perfect for pots and containers on the terrace or balcony. When the leaves first appear in spring, they have a striking salmon-pink color. As they mature, the leaves gradually turn green with a creamy white edge. In autumn, the leaves turn a remarkable light green, serving as the last splash of color before they fall. The Acer 'Taylor' offers something to look forward to throughout the year. If you have enough space, the Acer Taylor can grow up to 2 meters tall.
Care
Japanese maples are best planted from March to early October. During this time, the soil is warm, and the plants can establish good roots. In a planting container, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are robust plants, but their leaves can be damaged in windy locations. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a location in partial shade, avoiding too much direct sunlight. Excessive direct sunlight can dry out the roots, leading to leaf loss and leaf burn. A Japanese maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy and will sprout again in March with beautiful new leaves.
Size
The plants are delivered with a height of 35-55 cm, measured including the growing pot. The plants come in a growing pot with a diameter of 15 cm.
