Product details

Acer palmatum 'Taylor' is a rare Japanese maple in a 'limited edition'! This beautiful small Acer tree is ideal for pots and containers on the patio or balcony. When the leaves first appear in spring, they have a striking salmon-pink colour. With age, the leaves gradually turn green and have a creamy white edge. In autumn, the leaves turn a striking lime green as a final splash of colour before the leaves are lost. The Acer 'Taylor' gives you something to look forward to all year round! If you have enough space, the Acer Orange Lace can grow up to 2 metres tall.

Care
Japanese maples are best planted from March to early October. During this time, the soil is warm and the plants can root well. This plant does not require any special potting soil in a planter. Japanese maples are strong plants, but the leaves can be damaged in a windy location. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in partial shade, preferably without too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, leading to leaf loss and burns.
The Japanese maple is not evergreen, which means that it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very resilient and sprouts beautiful new leaves from March onwards.
