Product details

The Acer 'Shaina' on a stem is one of the many varieties of Japanese maples. This Japanese maple has beautiful colors that will brighten up your garden. Towards spring, the tree produces bright red leaves. During the summer, the leaves turn chestnut brown and red, and in the autumn, they turn a crimson color. This mixture of colors makes it a special plant to see and a nice addition to your garden.

Care
Japanese maples can best be planted from March to the beginning of October. The soil is warmer, and the plants can easily root during this period. Japanese maples are strong plants, but in a windy location, the leaves can easily get damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a location in semi-shade, preferably with not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can cause the roots and leaves to dry out, leading to leaf damage. A Japanese maple is not evergreen, which means that it loses its leaves during the winter. However, this plant is very hardy and will sprout again in March with beautiful new leaves. The Shaina is a slow grower with a narrow upright growing direction that keeps the plant compact. This allows you to grow this tree in a pot or in a smaller garden.
