Product details

Acer palmatum 'Orange Lace' is a rare Japanese maple in limited edition. This lovely little Acer tree is perfect for pots and containers on the terrace or balcony. When the leaves first appear in spring, they are striking dark orange. Over time, they gradually turn a lighter green. In autumn, they change back to beautiful, vibrant colors before they drop their leaves, revealing dark brown stems. This Acer offers something to look forward to all year round. If you have enough space, the Acer Orange Lace can grow up to 2 meters tall.

Care:
Japanese maples are best planted from March to early October. During this time, the soil is warm, and the plants can root well. In a planting container, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are robust plants, but in a windy location, the leaves can be damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a location in partial shade, ideally without too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, leading to leaf loss and burns. The Japanese maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very resilient and will sprout again with beautiful new leaves starting in March.
