Product details
The beautiful Acer Orange Dream has a rounded growth habit with deeply lobed leaves. In fact, this maple changes color throughout the year: in spring, it displays fiery red to pinkish-red leaves; in summer, the leaves turn bluish-green with red veins; and in autumn, the maple returns to its red hue. This maple is also very well suited for a compact garden, as it grows slowly. If the maple becomes too large, you can prune it back in March.
Care: Japanese maples are best planted from March to early October. During this time, the soil is warm, and the plants can establish good roots. In a planting container, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are robust plants, but their leaves can be damaged in a windy location. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a location in partial shade, avoiding too much direct sunlight. Excessive direct sunlight can lead to root drying, resulting in leaf loss and burns. A Japanese maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy down to -20°C and will sprout again in March with beautiful new leaves.
Size: Upon delivery, the plant has a height of 35-55 cm, measured with the pot. The plant is delivered in a pot with a diameter of 15 cm.
