Product details
The beautiful Japanese maple 'Little Princess' is an ornament for any garden and also looks great in a pot or container on a terrace or balcony. It is a compact Japanese maple that can grow between 100-150 cm tall, making it perfect as a bonsai. The Japanese maple 'Little Princess' is a stunning variety that sprouts light brown in spring, turns yellow with a red edge in summer, and steals the show with a spectacular autumn color display. The Japanese maple is well winter-hardy and deciduous.
Care
Japanese maples are best planted from March to early October. During this time, the soil is warmer, and the plants can root well. In a planting container, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are robust plants, but in a windy location, the leaves can be damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a location in partial shade, ideally without too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, leading to leaf loss and burns. The Japanese maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very resilient and will sprout again with beautiful new leaves starting in March.
