Product details

Acer palmatum 'Going Green' is a Japanese maple with fresh green leaves and yellow-orange autumn coloring. This variety is particularly attractive due to its bright green branches, which are especially striking in winter. It is a very vigorous plant that can easily reach 200 cm or taller. Pruning is not an issue but should be done in late summer or early autumn. This maple variety does not thrive in full sun.

Care
Japanese maples are best planted from March to early October. During this time, the soil is warmer, allowing the plants to root well. In a planting container, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are robust plants, but in a windy location, the leaves can be damaged. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a location in partial shade, ideally without too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, leading to leaf loss and leaf burn. The Japanese maple is not evergreen, meaning it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very resilient and will sprout again with beautiful new leaves starting in March.

Size
The plant is delivered with a height of 25-40 cm, measured including the pot. It comes in a pot with a diameter of 10.5 cm.
