Product details

Acer palmatum 'Black Lace' is a rare Japanese maple in a 'limited edition'! This beautiful small Acer tree has deeply incised and lobed leaves. When the leaves first appear in spring, they are a striking reddish-purple colour and gradually turn bronze-green in summer. In autumn, they turn again and offer a spectacular display of rich purple and bright orange tones. This Acer therefore offers you something to look forward to at almost any time of year. The Acer Black Lace grows into an eye-catching tree that is suitable for a medium-sized garden and grows up to 2 metres tall.

Care:
Japanese maples are best planted from March to early October. During this time, the soil is warm and the plants can root well. This plant does not require any special potting soil in a planter. Japanese maples are strong plants, but the leaves can be damaged in a windy location. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in partial shade, preferably without too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, leading to leaf loss and burns.
The Japanese maple is not evergreen, which means that it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very resilient and sprouts beautiful new leaves from March onwards.
