This adapter is a surge protection device for Category 6 high-speed data networks. This means that transmission rates of up to 1 GBit/s can be safely transmitted. The circuitry of this multifunctional surge protector safeguards all eight signal paths connected via the RJ45 sockets. It is suitable for network interfaces in Ethernet (including PoE), Token Ring, and CDDI (FDDI). By removing a cover cap, the protection device can be installed in a control cabinet next to industrial Ethernet end devices.
