HSS step drill for drilling and deburring thin sheets, pipes, and profiles made from various materials. To ensure secure torque transmission, all step drills feature a three-flat shank.

• Easier retraction when drilling through sheets due to the tool cone.
• Non-breaking chips are cleanly removed just like with a twist drill.
• The formation of built-up edges and cold welds on the cutting edges is avoided.

Application recommendations
• Use HSS step drills on sheets, pipes, and profiles with a maximum material thickness of 4 mm.
• For uncoated step drills, use cutting oil or compressed air as cooling and lubricating agents.
