The new PeakTech 3442 is a practical digital multimeter designed for high demands in a heavy-duty design, featuring a variety of useful measurement functions. The device's display can be switched at the touch of a button between a 6,000-count LCD and a high-resolution 60,000-count LCD, with all measurements captured as true RMS values. In addition to extensive measurement functions for current, voltage, capacitance, resistance, and much more, this new development also includes a 4-20 mA % current loop measurement, a low-pass filter, and an auto-hold function. Via Bluetooth, the measurement values can be displayed live using PC software or an app for Android and iOS devices, recorded in tabular form, and sent for further processing. Special attention was paid to user protection during development, with a shock- and impact-resistant housing and a high overvoltage category.
