To drive three-phase motors and self-starting alternating current motors, a rotating field in a three-phase alternating current circuit magnetically pulls the rotor of an electric motor. This can occur as a right or left rotating field, with the swapping of two outer conductors of the three-phase circuit causing a reversal of this rotation direction. The PeakTech 2530 is a handy measuring device that checks the phases of a three-phase motor and displays the currently present rotation direction. This allows electric motors to be correctly connected during new installations or helps identify faults in existing systems. This makes the PeakTech 2530 an ideal companion for any electrical installer or service technician, for example, during the maintenance of industrial plants or the installation of large kitchens.
