Peaktech P 1635 Current clamp meter

The PeakTech 1635 is an affordable and practical clamp meter for measuring small direct and alternating currents up to 2 A with a resolution of 1 mA. With clamp measurement, electrical conductors do not need to be disconnected to perform a current measurement. The device measures current indirectly through the surrounding magnetic field, meaning it measures contactlessly when the jaws of the clamp encircle the live conductor (single wire). Since the sum of all incoming and outgoing currents neutralizes the magnetic field, leakage current can be measured by encircling all wires of a cable. In the automotive sector, this measuring device is ideal for capturing discharge currents of the car battery when the ignition is off, allowing for quick and reliable identification of faults.
