The material thickness gauge can measure material thicknesses up to 225 mm. To measure the thickness of various homogeneous materials, it is possible to input the corresponding sound velocity into the material thickness gauge. Suitable sound velocities for materials such as steel, aluminum, zinc, silver, and gold are already stored in the device library. This allows the material thickness gauge to be used universally. With the limit value function, individual maximum and minimum values can be set. If the measured value of the test specimen falls outside these limits, the material thickness gauge will signal this visually. If needed, the signaling can also be acoustic in addition to the visual display. Therefore, the material thickness gauge is used, for example, in quality assurance and incoming goods inspection. The material thickness gauge features a data storage function where the measured values can be recorded. After a measurement process, the stored measurement values can be analyzed directly on the material thickness gauge. The stored data is displayed graphically. Additionally, each individual measurement point can be accessed and read in the graph. For simplified analysis of the measurement values, the average, maximum, and minimum measurement values are displayed. Optionally, the material thickness gauge can be equipped with an ISO calibration certificate.
