Product details

The ammeter is the ideal measuring instrument for measuring voltages up to 1500 V AC/DC and currents of up to 1000 A AC/DC. Current measurement is performed inductively by placing the supply line into the ammeter's current clamp. This has the special advantage that current can be measured while in operation. As a result, the ammeter is used, for example, during maintenance work on photovoltaic systems. Photovoltaic systems consist of many different solar cells connected in series. Here, the ammeter can measure the individual currents of the series to help identify potential faults. In addition to normal voltage and current measurement, the ammeter can also measure inrush current. Inrush currents are currents that are particularly high at the moment of switching on and occur when starting motors, for example, for ventilation systems or when turning on stadium lighting. This measurement is particularly important for the sizing of supply lines and fuses. Frequency converters are devices that output voltage on the primary side with altered frequency and amplitude on the secondary side. With the ammeter and the VFD measurement function, measurements can also be taken here at frequencies ranging from 45 Hz to 1 kHz. Additionally, the ammeter features a Bluetooth 4.0 interface that allows connection to an Android or iOS device. With the free app "Meterbox Pro," the values measured by the ammeter can be displayed and saved for later analysis. With the data logging function, the ammeter can store all measurement values at any set interval. After a measurement, the values can be displayed graphically, and each individual measurement point can also be read.
