This centering drill has a nominal diameter of 6.3 mm. The drill is made of HSS steel and can be used on both sides. Additionally, the centering drill is coated with titanium-aluminum-nitride, which provides high heat resistance and oxidation resistance. The TiAlN coating is an all-purpose coating suitable for universal use. It allows for the machining of hard materials such as steel, stainless steel, or titanium alloys. Another advantage is that the use of cutting fluid is not strictly necessary. However, using coolant generally increases the tool life of the drill.
