Our auger bits are made from high-quality, hardened carbon tool steel. This material choice allows for high cutting performance and durability. Additionally, the auger bit features a centering point, enabling very precise centering of the drill. A pull thread located at the centering point helps the drill pull itself into the wood, reducing the amount of pressure needed while drilling. The included pilot cutter ensures that a clean and tear-free edge is produced even at low speeds. The auger bit also excels in chip removal. It is suitable for drilling through holes in beams and rafters, as well as for creating deep blind holes. A tapering towards the shank of 1:50 to 1:100 is designed to prevent jamming in the hole. The set is delivered in a practical wooden box.
