Our auger bits are made from high-quality, hardened carbon tool steel. This material selection allows for high cutting performance and durability. Additionally, the auger bit is equipped with a centering tip, enabling very precise centering of the drill. A pull-in thread located at the centering tip helps the drill to draw itself into the wood, reducing the amount of pressure needed while drilling. The presence of a pilot cutter also ensures a clean and tear-free hole edge even at low speeds, while the auger bit excels in chip removal. The auger bit is suitable for drilling through holes in beams and rafters, as well as for creating deep blind holes. A tapering towards the shank of 1:50 to 1:100 is designed to prevent jamming in the hole.
