The IC-M2C pulse storage module enables the conversion of meter pulses into an M-Bus readable meter reading. Depending on the type, up to two consumption meters with pulse generators can be configured as full-fledged M-Bus slaves. This allows, for example, the consumption data from electricity, gas, heat, or water meters to be centrally collected via data remote transmission over the M-Bus.
The IC-M2C module can also be programmed as a 2-tariff meter (HT and NT) via an external tariff control. It operates without a power supply, as the power supply is provided from the M-Bus. It features an integrated battery to bridge bus outages and offers full counting functionality even in battery operation (bus failure) as well as complete data retention during power outages.
The connection of potential-free pulse generators (reed contact, optocoupler) is possible, as well as the connection of pulse generators with electronic S0 interface (open collector). Adjustable parameters include meter reading, pulse value, and unit, a freely programmable cut-off date, and 12 previous month-end values. Complete parameterization is done via the M-Bus with write protection function (IC-M2).
The device is suitable for DIN rail mounting according to EN 50022 or for wall mounting, depending on the type. A parameterization program, M-Tool, is included in the delivery.
