Product details
The high-quality tank made of polypropylene is excellent for storing osmotic water and fits all common reverse osmosis systems thanks to standardized connections. It can be installed either horizontally or vertically without any issues; additionally, there is the option to connect multiple tanks of the same type in series to further increase storage capacity. The internal membrane is made of butyl rubber and is pre-filled at the factory.
The capacity of 3 gallons corresponds to 11.35 liters. The effective capacity of the tank is 8.5 liters. We recommend disinfecting the water tank approximately every 6 to 12 months.
Butyl Rubber:
This rubber belongs to the group of elastomers. The material is characterized by its resistance to hot air, weathering, and ozone exposure. The elastomer exhibits low gas permeability, good chemical resistance, and excellent damping properties against vibration and shock energy up to 100 °C. In the low-temperature range, butyl rubber remains elastic down to -70 °C. The main applications for butyl rubber include air hoses and tire inner linings, heating bags, steam hoses, and container linings. Other applications include films, membranes, as well as unvulcanized sealants and tapes. Butyl rubber is also referred to as IIR (Isobutylene-Isoprene Rubber).
