The two central grooves of the NS-2, in combination with the tire's V-shaped profile, enhance water drainage and thus reduce the risk of aquaplaning. In dry conditions, the V-shaped ribs ensure an even pressure distribution, allowing the entire contact area to be utilized uniformly for power transmission. The design with two central, circumferential tread grooves can efficiently redirect water and significantly improve wet handling. The 2-in-1 pitch design and variable tread width reduce tread noise, providing a quieter and more comfortable ride. The computer-simulated V-shaped drainage grooves increase resistance to aquaplaning at high speeds on very wet roads. The sipes on the shoulder edges ensure even and slower tread wear.
