Combination hammer with 2 functions: hammer drilling and chiselling. Metabo VibraTech (MVT) features an integrated damping system to reduce vibrations for health protection. It has an easily accessible locking switch for chiseling in continuous operation. Vario-Constamatic (VC) full-shaft electronics allow for working at material-specific speeds that remain virtually constant under load. An adjustment wheel is included for preselection of speed and impact rate. The electronic soft start enables precise drilling. The magnesium die-cast gear housing ensures optimum heat dissipation and low weight. The Metabo S-automatic safety clutch provides mechanical decoupling of the drive when the drill is blocked for safe working. Restart protection prevents unintentional start-up after power interruption. Low-dust chiselling and drilling can be achieved with external dust extraction ESA max (accessory). A carbon brush wear indicator is present, along with a service indicator for pending carbon brush replacement and a light signal for mains voltage. An early warning system by service LED allows for targeted scheduling of carbon brush replacement 8 working hours before shutdown.
