Mersen HH fuse links have been used for decades to provide reliable protection in high-voltage switchgear and controlgear. With the Limitor -PTS- product range, Mersen offers a new, innovative fusible link to reduce power loss. A thermal trip prevents overheating in the fuse compartment of the switchgear. Mersen uses the best materials: fusible links are made of pure silver, contact caps are made of copper with silver coating, and the fuse body is made of ceramic. The Limitor -PTS product range protects transformers in combination with air or gas insulated switchgear against thermal and dynamic effects of short circuits. Siemens and Ormazabal recommend the use of Limitor -PTS HH fuses in their gas-insulated switchgear.
