Further details: The NH system is assigned to the plug-in fuse systems and is composed as follows: fuse base (possibly with terminal covers and phase cover), fuse-links with contact blades, device for replacing the fuse-links (low-voltage plug-on handle). Maintenance and servicing must be carried out by professionally qualified personnel. NH fuse-links of operating class aM are partial-range fuses and protect electrical equipment from destruction in the event of impermissibly high short-circuits due to their strong current limitation and low thermal let-through values. They switch off currents greater than 6.3 x IN up to the maximum breaking capacity. NH fuse-links aM are preferably used to protect installations and switchgear in motor circuits. When assigning NH fuse-links, the rated fuse current can be selected equal to the rated motor current. VDE 0636 part 201, IEC 60269-1 and -2.
