Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia Nicolai)
This still small Bird of Paradise grows into a large palm-like plant that is often mistaken for a banana tree and instantly evokes a jungle feeling. Thanks to its distinctive leaf shape, this Strelitzia is an icon among houseplants! It originally comes from South Africa and produces more shoots as it matures. Preferring bright locations, it also orients its leaves towards the light source.
