Bowstring Hemp (Sansevieria Fernwood Mikado)
The Sansevieria Fernwood Mikado is a very special type of bowstring hemp: its leaves are much narrower than those of its relatives, almost round, and significantly harder. As a result, they stand upright and resemble large, long spikes. This plant originally comes from West Africa, where it is typically hot and dry. Therefore, the Mikado Snake can store a lot of water, requires infrequent watering, and is truly very low-maintenance. It also thrives in lower light conditions, making it suitable for placement almost anywhere in the home. It has an impressively high air-purifying effect for its size.
