The Makita DDF 489 is a powerful, compact drill/driver designed for versatile use in drilling and screwing. This brushless cordless drill with 18 V features a newly designed gearbox with a very short construction. The torque of 73 Nm can be adjusted in 21 stages. A bright dual LED light ensures good visibility. It can drill holes up to 38 mm in diameter in wood, and the maximum drilling diameter in metal is 13 mm. The XPT - Extreme Protection Technology offers optimal protection against dust and splashes, even under tough conditions. Additionally, it has a deep discharge protection feature. The device automatically shuts off when the battery is nearly empty. Makita is a premium manufacturer of power tools with a long tradition and high quality standards.
