Product details

Origin
The Ficus benghalensis Audrey, also known as the Indian Banyan tree, originates from India and Malaysia. This special plant, which belongs to the Moraceae family, often grows into impressive formations due to the development of aerial roots. In the wild, this plant is considered sacred and is often seen near temples.

Features
Characteristic of the Ficus benghalensis Audrey are its velvety-soft, oval leaves in a beautiful, deep green color. The plant grows steadily and can thrive up to a height of three meters under the right conditions. The aerial roots, which grow down to the ground in nature and form a new anchoring trunk there, are a distinctive feature that sets this plant apart from many others.

Care
The Ficus benghalensis Audrey prefers a bright location but does not tolerate direct sunlight. It is important to regularly moisten the soil, but care must be taken to avoid waterlogging. During the winter months, watering can be reduced. The optimal room temperature for this plant is between 15 and 23 degrees Celsius. As this plant is tropical, it also benefits from high humidity.
