Luwasa expanded clay, kidney-shaped with a diameter of 8-16 mm. The Luwasa expanded clay is made from low-salt clay types, which means the hydro pellets require less washing. It has a relatively low weight. It does not store water or nutrients but transfers them to the roots of the plant through its surface. The structurally stable expanded clay is baked in drum kilns at high temperatures. Another advantage of Luwasa expanded clay is that the hydro pellets are very irregularly shaped, providing more support for the plant.
