Evergreen, spherical-shaped ornamental shrub with glossy dark green leaves and dense, slow growth. It can thrive in sunny to partially shaded, or even fully shaded locations. It grows well in any normal garden soil. It loves moisture but does not tolerate waterlogging.
Buxus sempervirens is also highly valued for its ability to be shaped, making it ideal for border edging, as a hedge plant, for topiary, or as a container plant. This boxwood variety is particularly hardy in winter.
