Lubera Apple Bionda Bella

Now that's enough! With Bionda Bella®, we are introducing the third variety of the yellow Bionda® apple series: Marilyn is the earliest and sweetest, Patrizia is more tart, and Bella is closest to Golden Delicious - balanced in flavor, very good storage capabilities, with excellent texture.

Form/Appearance: round, slightly elongated, the "greenest" Bionda® variety.
Taste/Flavor: Bella® is the successor to the good old Golden, the Bionda® that is overall the best; it has the storage capacity of Patrizia, the best texture, and is flavor-balanced in autumn (sweet with good acidity, becoming sweeter over time – just like Golden Delicious).
Growth Health: compact, weak growth, very well branched; resistant to scab; no rusting.
Harvest/Ripeness/Storage: around September 20, immediately ready to eat, but will become sweeter in storage; very good storage capability until February/March, retains its crisp freshness even late into the season, which is more pronounced than with Golden Delicious.

Final size for low-stem: Height: 2-2.5 m, crown diameter: 1.2-2 m.
Final size for espalier: Height: 2-3 m, length: 3 m.
Final size for half-stem: trunk height: 1.1-1.3 m, crown height: 3-4 m, crown diameter: 3-4 m.
