Product details
Lemon thyme, with its beautiful light green leaves, is a true favorite among plant enthusiasts. Naturally, its unique aromatic note makes it ideal for delicately enhancing many dishes. However, true experts also know how to utilize it in rock gardens. Additionally, it has excellent qualities as a ground cover. In June and July, it blankets its location with a violet floral display.
The leaves of lemon thyme have an aromatic flavor. Lemon thyme is also quite frost-resistant.
Thymus x citriodorus grows bushy, wide, and dense, typically reaching a height of 20 to 30 cm and spreading to 20 to 30 cm wide. It usually grows 10 to 20 cm per year.
Water regularly and allow the soil to dry out in between. It thrives best in normal garden soil in a sunny location. Planting time is from March to November.
Lemon thyme is relatively low-maintenance and is particularly recommended for inexperienced plant lovers. Tip: Divide the plant every 2 to 3 years and remove weak roots and shoots. Better growth and flowering power will be the reward! Too much fertilizer can harm the herb's aroma! Provide herbs in pots with herb fertilizer once in spring. When planted in the garden, a compost application at the start of the season is sufficient.
The pot has a diameter of 14 cm.
