Data and power are transmitted over an unshielded, geometrically coded two-wire flat cable (polarity-safe) between the controller and peripherals. The connection of the conductor is made using piercing technology in the ASI modules. ASI is standardized across Europe in EN 50295 and internationally in IEC 62026-2.
