The DDA devices are extremely compact DC-DC converters with output power of up to 500 W for mounting on a DIN rail. These devices utilize our i6A series Point-of-Load converters without galvanic isolation. The intentional omission of primary/secondary isolation allows for excellent efficiencies of up to 95% while accommodating very wide ranges for input and output voltage. With an input voltage range of 9-53 Vdc, the devices can be universally operated on bus voltages of 12 V, 24 V, and even 48 V. The output voltage range spans from 3.3 V to 24 V. Typical application areas include industrial applications as well as test and measurement systems, where all system voltages are referenced to a common ground. Here, galvanic isolation is not required, and the DDA series provides a flexible solution to derive additional voltages from an existing low-voltage bus.
