Knuchel Cement floor paint

Blenda-Sol is a water-dilutable and low-odour methyl acrylic polyurethane sealant. It produces abrasion-resistant, elastic, and non-yellowing coatings. The coating has a very high resistance to water, detergents, and cleaning agents. Blenda-Sol is only conditionally suitable for contact with organic solvents, petrol, diluted acids, and alkalis. For such uses, we recommend using Blenda-Pox. In outdoor areas and for increased demands, Blenda-Sol must be cross-linked with a special hardener, which additionally increases mechanical and chemical resistance.

Field of application
As a durable coating on concrete, masonry, composite panels (such as coarse particleboard OSB), cement coatings in basements, laundry rooms, heating and hobby rooms, stairs, terraces, balcony floors, as well as for coating heavily used walls.

Pretreatment
For new floors, the drying and setting times must be observed according to the floor manufacturer's instructions. Remove cement residue (sinter skin) mechanically or with Neutrasol. Old coatings with dirt, grease, oil, and wax residues must be cleaned with Neutralin, Geiger Industrial Cleaner, or SE-1 leach. Remove poorly adhering old coats (adhesion test, cross-cut) mechanically.

Processing
During application, a minimum substrate temperature of 10°C must be observed; otherwise, film formation can be disturbed, resulting in poor drying, reduced adhesion, lower gloss, or poorer resistance. The adhesion of the coatings is also excellent on slightly damp substrates. If Blenda-Sol is used with the hardener additive, the hardener must be added to Blenda-Sol while stirring carefully. Due to the relatively short pot life, processing of the mixed material should be started immediately.

Drying
Dust dry after about 30 minutes
Recoatable after approximately 6 hours
Walkable after 24 hours
Fully cured after approximately 7 days (depending on temperature, humidity, and layer thickness).
