Kerbl Frost protection heating cable

Ideal frost protection cable for temperatures down to -45 °C. Thermostat for automatic on and off switching. Prevents freezing of frost-sensitive objects. Automatically switches on at 3 °C. Not suitable for heating pipes. Do not insulate the thermostat if additional insulation is applied. Protect the area that animals can nibble on with a gnawing protection. Prevents freezing of water pipes. The thermostat in the heating line automatically turns the cable on.

What to consider for 230 V heating lines: Always install heating cables on the underside of the pipe. The water line must be grounded. The 230 V heating cables are ready to plug in and should be connected to a power supply with a circuit breaker. The heating cables must not be shortened and should therefore be ordered in the correct length. Excess lengths can be coiled around the pipe (note that a coil spacing of at least 15 mm must be maintained). Do not bend the heating cables and observe the maximum bending radius of approximately 50 mm. The heating cables can be attached to the pipe with insulating tape or aluminum tape.

When using on plastic pipes, the pipe must be wrapped with aluminum tape before laying the heating cable. The pipe and the heating cable should be insulated with a maximum insulation of 13 mm. The thermostat of the heating cable should be mounted at the coldest position of the pipe. The thermostat should only be moderately insulated. Do not use 230 V heating lines in areas accessible to animals. Installation must be carried out by a qualified professional in accordance with VDE 0100.
