Caudex plants require a sunny location indoors. In summer, they also enjoy being outside. During spring and summer, they should be watered thoroughly every 10 days, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. In winter, water only once a month with a small amount; the plant may drop its green leaves, leaving only the palm-like body. In spring, the exciting cycle begins anew.
