Tillandsias are extremely adaptable plants and can survive for several years with the right care. They thrive anywhere, but prefer a bright location. Direct sunlight should be avoided as too much moisture is lost through the heat. A good option is a spot in the bathroom, as the humidity is higher there. Naturally warm and humid terrariums are ideal.

The most important thing when caring for tillandsias is a regular supply of water by spraying. It is important to imitate the humid climate of the rainforest with 90% humidity. In summer, the plants should be sprayed about twice a week, in winter a little more, as the heated air is drier. Under no circumstances should the plant stand in water, otherwise it will rot. For the same reason, no water should be allowed to collect in the plant.
