Tillandsias are extremely adaptable plants and can live for several years with the right care. They thrive basically anywhere, but they prefer a bright location. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as too much moisture is lost through the heat. A good option is a spot in the bathroom, as the humidity is higher there. Naturally, warm humid terrariums are ideal.

The most important thing when caring for tillandsias is a regular supply of water by spraying. The aim is to imitate the humid climate of the rainforest with 90% humidity. In summer, spray the plants about twice a week, in winter rather a little more, as the heating air is drier. Under no circumstances should the plant stand in water, otherwise it will rot. For the same reason, water should not be allowed to accumulate in the plant.
